Thursday December 14th, 4:30-7:30p, The BassMint in collaboration with Taos Academy's STEM A+ Institute, presents Peace & Love: STEM Dj Performance, an evening of student dj presentations, music, dance, food and fun. Happiness, a joyful heart, dance, and peace - are a few things that this world could use a little more of in these times, and music is such a powerful avenue to generate it!

All ages are invited to enjoy the music selections of emerging Djs: Dr. Snoos, 3D, Tobias, Ariat, Limestone, Gold Drake, & Cosmos - with beats ranging from funky, down tempo to hip-hop, dubstep to soulful and progressive house. These seven students, ranging in ages 14-18, took part in Taos Academy Charter School's STEM A+ Program, and have just completed an intensive fourteen week semester, in beginning djing with dj Chrystalline - learning everything from music selection, beat matching, blending to utilizing effects.

The STEM A+ Institute offers a variety of courses to middle and high school students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines by engaging students in project-based activities, guided by community professionals.

The event is free, and Taos community and beyond is invited to come experience the next generation's passionate expression through music. Food will be provided by Taos Academy's Culinary Arts Students. Special thanks to The BassMint Sponsors: Zia Energia, & Taos HOPE (Heart of Peaceful Expression).
